Peter De Temmerman’s connection to the Catskills is rooted in lived experience, not weekend whim. After years of traveling up from New York City, Peter and his spouse purchased their own home near the Pepacton Reservoir in 2019. The familiar sweep of the rolling hills echoed the landscape of the Flemish Ardennes in Belgium, where Peter grew up—and immediately gave this corner of the Catskills a feeling of home.

That sense of belonging only deepened. Through Zeep Naturals, Peter’s artisan soap business, he became a regular presence at farmers markets in Bovina, Delhi, and Roscoe. Those long conversations at market tables offered more than just sales—they gave Peter an intimate understanding of the communities here: how people live, what they value, and why they stay. Today, that ground-level knowledge directly informs his work in real estate with the Catskill Country Living team.

Peter serves a broad swath of the region, covering all of Delaware County and select areas of neighboring counties, including Roxbury, Stamford, Franklin, Roscoe, and Livingston Manor. Whether someone is searching for a low-maintenance weekend retreat, a full-time residence, or land to steward over generations, Peter brings clear guidance, thoughtful strategy, and true local insight to every transaction.

When not advising clients, Peter is usually outside, cultivating the kind of landscape many buyers come here to find. You’ll find him tending pawpaw and mulberry trees, scything a native wildflower meadow each fall, and caring for his bees, which thrive on the habitat he’s created. His respect for land, nature, and intentional living is more than a personal philosophy—it’s the foundation of his real estate practice and the value he brings to clients seeking their own place in the Catskills.
